What WooCommerce work covers?

A new store, a rebuild, or one stubborn part of an existing one, most projects fit into one of these areas.

  • Store builds and theming

Custom WooCommerce stores built around your products, customers and brand, from bespoke storefronts to complete e-commerce builds.

  • Product data modelling

Products don't always fit WooCommerce defaults. We structure attributes, variations, custom fields and product data around what you're actually selling.

  • Checkout and payments

Custom checkout flows, payment gateways and fixes for payment issues — including cases where the standard WooCommerce setup isn't enough.

  • Subscriptions and memberships

Recurring payments, subscriptions, memberships and access rules configured around your business model and customer journey.

  • Migrations

Moving from Shopify, Magento or another WooCommerce store? We can migrate products, customers, orders and essential store data while protecting URLs and SEO.

  • Performance at scale

Large catalogues and busy stores need more than caching. We optimise queries, assets, database behaviour and WooCommerce processes to keep things responsive.

How we work on stores?

An e-commerce store is a business system, not just a collection of product pages. We start by understanding how you sell, what needs to connect and where complexity actually matters.

We start with the numbers you already have

For an existing store, we look at how customers currently browse, buy and drop off. From there, we review the checkout, payment setup, product structure and technical foundation before deciding what needs changing.

For a new store, we start with the products, customer journey and operational requirements instead.

Products modelled before anything is built

Products rarely fit neatly into a generic template. So, before development begins, we define products, variations, attributes, custom fields and relationships around the way your catalogue actually works.

This makes the storefront easier to use and the WooCommerce backend easier to manage.

Checkout tested as the priority it is

A beautiful store isn’t useful if customers can’t complete a purchase. That’s why checkout, payments, shipping, tax rules, transactional emails and key customer journeys receive proper testing before launch.

Where custom payment behaviour is required, we build or integrate it around the actual checkout flow.

Extensions we can justify

WooCommerce has thousands of extensions, but more plugins don’t automatically make a better store.

When a reliable extension solves the requirement properly, we’ll use it. Otherwise, we’ll develop the functionality around the project. Every dependency should have a clear purpose.

Speed, because it is revenue

Store performance affects the entire buying experience, from product discovery to checkout. For that reason, we pay attention to database queries, product data, scripts, images, caching and third-party requests throughout development.

Performance isn’t something we leave until launch week.

Launch and the weeks after

Once the store passes testing and you approve the build, we handle deployment and final production checks. After launch, we can stay involved to monitor the store, resolve issues and continue improving it as real customers start using it.

WooCommerce questions

01 Is WooCommerce a good choice compared with Shopify?

It depends on the business. WooCommerce gives you much more control over the store, content, data and custom functionality because it runs on WordPress.

Shopify can be a better fit when simplicity and a hosted ecosystem matter more than flexibility. We won’t recommend WooCommerce simply because we develop it. The platform should fit the project.

02 Can you move our store to WooCommerce without losing order history?

In many cases, yes. We can migrate products, customers, orders and other important store data from an existing platform or WooCommerce installation.

Before starting, we’ll review what needs to move and identify anything that requires special handling.

03 Our store has become very slow. Can this be fixed?

Usually, but the cause needs to be identified first.

WooCommerce performance problems can come from hosting, database queries, plugins, product variations, third-party scripts, images or custom code. We investigate the bottleneck first rather than installing another optimisation plugin and hoping for the best.

04 Can you customise the checkout?

Yes. We can modify checkout fields, steps, validation, payment behaviour and other parts of the WooCommerce checkout process.

For more complex requirements, we can also develop custom functionality around the checkout and order workflow.

05 Do you handle subscriptions and recurring payments?

Yes. We work with WooCommerce stores that use subscriptions, recurring payments and membership-style models.

The setup depends on your products, payment provider and business rules, so we plan the subscription flow before implementation.

06 Who handles PCI compliance and card data?

Card details should normally be handled by your payment provider rather than stored directly by your WordPress website.

We integrate established payment gateways correctly and keep the WooCommerce implementation aligned with the requirements of the chosen provider. Your exact PCI responsibilities depend on how payments are implemented.

07 Can you work on the store we already have?

Yes. A WooCommerce project doesn’t have to start with a rebuild.

We can take over an existing store, investigate problems, add functionality, improve checkout or payments, optimise performance, integrate other systems or rebuild only the parts that need it.
