Every project has different requirements. However, our approach stays the same: understand what needs to be built before writing code, then keep the solution as simple as the project allows.
The content model comes first
Before development starts, we map the content, relationships and functionality the website needs. From there, we structure Custom Post Types, taxonomies and ACF fields around your content and workflows. The result is a WordPress backend that reflects how your business works and makes everyday content management easier.
Custom themes, no builder dependency
Our custom WordPress development doesn’t rely on a page builder to hold the website together. Instead, we build around the project’s requirements using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with ACF Pro where flexible content management is needed. This keeps the codebase controlled, lightweight and easier to maintain.
Only plugins we can defend
Plugins aren’t the problem. Unnecessary plugins are. When a reliable, well-maintained plugin solves a requirement properly, we’ll use it. Otherwise, we’ll build the functionality ourselves. Every dependency needs a clear reason for being there.

01 Do you build custom themes, or use themes and page builders?
Our preference is custom WordPress development. We build themes around the design and requirements of the project rather than starting with a commercial theme and modifying it until it fits.
ACF Pro is often used to give editors flexible control over content without introducing the overhead and unrestricted layouts of a traditional page builder.
02 We already have a design. Can you build it?
Yes. We regularly work from completed designs in Figma and can handle the full WordPress development process from approved design files through responsive development, CMS integration, testing and launch.
We can also work directly with your designer or agency throughout the build.
03 We already have a WordPress website. Can you take it over?
Yes. Not every project needs to start again.
We’ll first review the existing theme, plugins, hosting, custom code and overall architecture. If the existing foundation is sound, we can continue developing it. If there are structural problems, we’ll explain what should be rebuilt and why.
04 Can you work with an existing developer or design team?
Yes. We regularly collaborate with designers, developers, marketing teams and agencies.
We can take responsibility for the WordPress development while your existing team handles design, content, SEO or other parts of the project.
05 Do you develop custom WordPress plugins?
Yes. When project functionality can’t be handled cleanly by WordPress itself or an appropriate existing plugin, we can develop custom functionality or a dedicated WordPress plugin.
The decision is based on what is most maintainable for the project, not on writing custom code simply for the sake of it.
06 Do you build WooCommerce websites?
Yes. WooCommerce is part of our WordPress development work. We build new stores and work on existing WooCommerce websites, including custom functionality, payment methods, checkout changes, subscriptions and third-party integrations.

07 How long does WordPress development take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the project.
A straightforward custom website can take several weeks, while larger builds involving e-commerce, integrations, complex content structures or custom functionality naturally take longer. Once we’ve reviewed the requirements, we’ll provide a realistic scope and timeline before development starts.
08 What happens after the website launches?
You can manage the website yourself, continue working with us as development is needed, or use one of our Care Plans for ongoing maintenance and technical support.
Either way, the website belongs to you. There is no proprietary platform or technical lock-in.
