E-commerce
A custom WooCommerce website combining marine engineering services with an extensive online store for engines, parts and specialist marine equipment.

Our WooCommerce development for Cutler Marine brought two sides of an established marine business into one website. Based at Emsworth Yacht Harbour, Cutler Marine has operated since 1989 and specialises in marine diesel engine installation, servicing and repair. The company is also a Yanmar main dealer with a fully stocked marine parts shop.
The website needed to support both sides without making either feel secondary. Boat owners looking for engineering support need quick access to services and specialist expertise, while customers buying parts need a familiar e-commerce experience with clear categories, product information and checkout.
We built the WordPress and WooCommerce website around those two journeys, creating a single platform for Cutler Marine’s engineering services and growing product catalogue.
The e-commerce side required more than a simple collection of products. Cutler Marine stocks specialist components for marine diesel engines, including service kits, filters, gaskets, anodes, impellers and other parts for manufacturers such as Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Beta, Bukh and Vetus.
We structured the WooCommerce catalogue to make a large technical inventory easier to browse and manage. Product categories, individual product pages, pricing, stock information and checkout form a conventional shopping journey while retaining the specialist information customers need when purchasing engine components.
The result gives Cutler Marine a direct online sales channel that sits naturally alongside its established engineering business.
Not every visitor arrives to buy a part. Cutler Marine provides engine servicing and repairs, installations, winter layups, stern gear work and diagnostic support, alongside its parts operation.
We gave these services their own clear presence while keeping the store accessible throughout the site. This allows someone to move between technical information, engineering support and relevant products without feeling as though they have entered a separate website.
The structure is particularly important for a specialist business where a customer may need professional advice before knowing whether they need a service, repair or replacement component.
Cutler Marine has decades of specialist knowledge and serves boat owners across Chichester Harbour, the Solent and surrounding marinas. Its digital presence needed to communicate that expertise while also functioning as a practical sales tool.
WordPress provides the flexibility to manage the service and company content, while WooCommerce development supports the extensive product catalogue and online purchasing journey.
Bringing both together created a website that reflects how Cutler Marine actually operates: part engineering specialist, part marine supplier, with both sides supported through one digital platform.
