Booking & Hospitality
A custom WordPress website for a South Downs country retreat, bringing accommodation, direct booking, weddings and exclusive events into one experience.

Our WordPress development for Lordington Park needed to bring several distinct parts of the business together without making the website complicated to navigate. Set within the South Downs National Park near Chichester, Lordington Park is a family-run country house offering 14 individually designed rooms, self-catering cottages and a range of countryside stays.
Accommodation is only one part of the business. The estate also hosts weddings, private events and exclusive hire, giving visitors very different reasons for arriving at the website.
We structured the experience around these different journeys, allowing guests to move quickly towards accommodation and booking while giving weddings and events the space they need to tell a more considered story.
For a hospitality website, the route from discovering a room to checking availability needs to feel effortless.
We created clear accommodation sections for the main house and self-catering cottages, supported by photography and individual room information. Lordington Park currently offers double, king and super-king rooms alongside Rose, Garden and Game cottages.
Rather than building a separate reservation system inside WordPress, we integrated the website with Lordington Park’s external direct-booking platform. Guests can explore the property first and then move directly into live availability and reservation when they are ready to book.
The second major journey required a different approach. Someone considering Lordington Park for a wedding or private event needs more than availability and a room rate.
We created dedicated content paths for weddings, events and exclusive hire, allowing the setting, accommodation and character of the property to become part of the decision. Enquiry routes then give prospective clients a clear next step without forcing these more complex bookings through the accommodation journey.
Lordington Park can host countryside weddings, celebrations, business events and exclusive stays, including hire of the house and grounds.
Lordington Park is a family home as much as a hospitality business. Three generations of the family have called the estate home, and that history is central to how the property presents itself to guests.
The design therefore needed to feel more personal than a conventional hotel website. Large-scale photography, restrained typography and spacious layouts give the property room to speak for itself, while WordPress keeps accommodation, local information, events and supporting content manageable behind the scenes.
The result is a hospitality platform that connects discovery, storytelling, enquiries and direct booking without making very different visitor journeys feel like separate websites.
