A large-scale WooCommerce platform for security equipment, combining more than 1,000 products with specialist tools, B2B functionality and technical content.

Our WooCommerce development for SuperVision centred on a substantial technical product catalogue. The company has supplied video surveillance and security equipment across Serbia since 2011, covering cameras, alarms, intercoms, access control, gate automation, networking equipment, cables and installation equipment. The current catalogue carries more than 1,000 products.
The challenge was not simply putting those products online. Customers range from homeowners buying a small camera system to professional installers and businesses sourcing equipment for larger projects. Each group approaches the catalogue with different levels of technical knowledge.
We designed and developed the platform to make a complex catalogue easier to navigate while preserving the technical detail experienced customers expect.
Security equipment often requires customers to understand specifications, compatibility and the relationship between several components before buying. A conventional WooCommerce catalogue was not enough.
We created a deeper category structure around the way customers actually search for equipment. Products sit within clearly defined areas such as video surveillance, alarms, intercoms, access control and networking, with further subcategories for specific equipment types.
Product pages bring specifications, stock information and related purchasing options together, while search and filtering make it easier to narrow a large catalogue. Customers can also compare products when choosing between technically similar equipment.
The platform needed to do more than display products. We developed custom functionality to help customers make informed decisions before reaching checkout.
One example is the installation calculator, which guides users through the information needed to estimate a surveillance system rather than expecting them to understand every technical requirement themselves. Product comparison provides another route for evaluating equipment side by side.
These features turn the store into a practical purchasing tool and help bridge the gap between SuperVision’s technical expertise and customers who may not know exactly what equipment they need.
SuperVision serves individual buyers alongside installers, IT companies, integrators and resellers. Its wholesale operation has different commercial requirements from the public-facing retail store.
The WooCommerce development therefore had to accommodate different customer journeys within the same platform. Public customers can browse products, check availability and purchase online, while professional customers can work with account-based access and wholesale pricing.
This creates one commerce infrastructure for a business that operates across both B2C and B2B markets, rather than maintaining separate systems for each audience.
With such a large inventory, organic search was an important part of the architecture rather than something added after launch.
We structured categories, products and supporting content so search engines could understand the relationships between equipment types and customer needs. This gives SuperVision opportunities to rank through individual products as well as broader commercial searches around video surveillance and technical security equipment.
The result is a WooCommerce platform designed to support both immediate sales and long-term organic visibility as the catalogue continues to grow.
